A late twenties professional in higher education, I've been working for years to get into computer crimes in law enforcement. Unfortunately, it seems my brain doesn't quite work that way - while I understand and find Criminology fascinating, computer security is beyond my capabilities. Now I'm reevaluating myself and trying to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my life. It's a confusing road, but it's one I'm bravely going down and I'm certain I'll find my way.
I'm married to an incredible man who spoils me rotten and we have two "kids" -- our two cats: Meowface & Gordon. We live in a lovely apartment in Chicago and have a really wonderful supportive group of friends who I consider family.
I suffer from a genetic disorder called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome which causes me a lot of pain and discomfort - my collagen doesn't develop correctly so my joints are slowly falling apart and eventually surgery will put me back together. I walk on and off with a cane and use a wrist brace when necessary, but despite it all, I have a pretty optimistic outlook on life.
This blog is just my journey relearning how to sew and continuing the traditions set before me by my Geema.
